The Puteri Gunung Ledang kebaya tells an enchanting story of a beautiful princess who lived atop Mount Ledang. When the Sultan of Malacca sought her hand in marriage, she set him impossible tasks, knowing he could never fulfill them. Among her demands were a bridge of gold and silver, a bowl filled with the tears of virgins, and the hearts of seven bulls. The Sultan, desperate and failed in his attempts. The princess' true reason for rejecting him lays in her desire to remain free and untouched by worldly desires. Before vanishing back into the misty peaks of the mountain, she left behind a legacy of beauty and mystery.

The embroidered silhouette in the collection represents her strength, grace, and the untouchable spirit of the legendary princess.
